State Construction Structural Engineer, Transportation Engineer 4, Office of Construction Administration, PN 20050502 What You Will Do: * Lead Structures Policy & Standards: Develops and updates statewide specifications, quality assurance programs, and the Construction Inspection Manual to ensure consistency across districts.
* Technical Oversight & Support: Provides expert guidance on structural construction issues, reviews complex projects, and advises on contract compliance and change orders.
* Quality Assurance & Reviews: Conducts Technical Process Reviews (TPRs), prepares annual Quality Assurance Reports (QARs), and performs on-site evaluations.
* Specification Development: Works with design and research teams to evaluate and support the use of new materials and construction methods through specification updates.
* Policy Development: Drafts policies and procedures to support consistent practices and align with performance goals.
* Training & Outreach: Designs and delivers online training for local governments, construction staff, and contractor associations using tools like Microsoft Office.
