BWC's core hours of operation are Monday-Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm, however, daily start/end times may vary based on operational need across BWC departments.

Most positions perform work on-site at one of BWC's seven offices across the state.

BWC offers flex-time work schedules that allow an employee to start the day as early as 7:00am or as late as 8:30am.

Flex-time schedules are based on operational need and require supervisor approval.

What You'll Be Doing: * Provides technical assistance concerning grant life cycle compliance, implementation, monitoring of the Workforce Safety Innovation Center (WSIC) grant.

* Monitors, tracks, and evaluates progress of funded projects through deliverable and requirements reviews, desk reviews, correspondence, etc.

* Provides advice and consultation to recipients in various grant areas (e.g., special conditions, grant deliverables and requirements, allowable expenses, etc.). * Revie recipient project progress reports, deliverables, budgets (e.g., revisions, expenditure reports, and invoices, etc.), summarizes progress and evaluates spending.

* Assists in monitoring WSIC grant applications, awards, and compliance, and reviews grant applications submitted to BWC for funding to determine eligibility, needed revision, and necessary conditions for funding.

Position requires travel (5%); therefore, persons occupying this position must be able to provide own transportation and/or legally operate a state-owned vehicle.

To Qualify, You Must Clearly Demonstrate: 3 courses or 9 months experience in contract & grant preparation AND 3 courses or 9 months experience in accounting AND 3 months training or 3 months experience in public relations.

* Or 6 months experience as Grants Coordinator 1, 63161.

* Or equivalent of Minimum Class Qualifications For Employment noted above.

Job Skills: Grants Administration Major Worker Characteristics: Knowledge of: budgeting; public relations; office practices & procedures; BWC policies & procedures*; administrative policies & procedures of BWC*; WWGP*; SIG*. Skill in: typing, operating PC with BWC software (e.g.

Access, Word, Excel, SharePoint), use of office equipment (e.g.

photocopiers, scanners, fax machines & online fax); English grammar & composition usage, communication.

Ability to: deal with variety of information in somewhat unfamiliar context; define problems related to employer & claims management; interpret * collect data & draw valid conclusions; comprehend & record figures accurately; complete agency requisitions; prepare status reports; maintain accurate records; discuss business matters with management-level staff; write correspondence & reports; assess questions & provide appropriate referral &/or information; prepare confidential memos; utilize sound telephone techniques (e.g.

business etiquette); file documents accurately; utilize BWC databases (e.g.

UDS, PowerSuite, Safety Grant), Internet, OAKS financial systems.
