Medical Assistant
Supports physicians and healthcare professionals by performing a variety of clinical and administrative tasks to ensure efficient operation of the medical facility.
Responsibilities:
Receives patients and their families and directs them to the appropriate place.
Answers telephones promptly and politely.
Schedules appointments
Files pertinent information within patient's records
Obtains insurance prior authorizations
Inputs charges on patient accounts
Verifies patient insurance upon registration
Billing
Obtains & documents vital signs on patients
Acts as a chaperone for the provider when needed
Obtains & document patient weights
Assist physician with minor procedures such as suture removal
Required Qualifications:
High school graduate or equivalent & at least 6 months of clinical experience as a nursing assistant or related field

Pay Range: $18.01 - $24.34
