As the Associate Vice President of Executive Recruitment, you will play a key role in shaping a top-tier executive recruiting process. Your mission will be to identify exceptional candidates for senior leadership roles, ensuring a high-touch experience for all involved. Key Responsibilities:
Understand the executive talent needs of the organization. Collaborate closely with Human Resources and business leaders to set recruitment strategies that attract top talent.
Develop innovative pipeline strategies that leverage talent branding, external search firms, direct sourcing, referrals, social media, and other effective methods to attract highly qualified candidates.
Lead a team of executive recruiters in guiding hiring managers through the selection process, ensuring a remarkable candidate experience while effectively promoting Nationwide's offerings and mission.
Guarantee consistency and quality across all searches, aligning with Nationwide's growth objectives.
Conduct interviews with executive candidates to gain insights into their qualifications and aspirations, fostering strong professional relationships.
Act as a strategic thought leader in identifying and engaging top talent that aligns with the company’s long-term goals.
Oversee the complete recruitment process for key executive roles, from initial intake discussions through assessments and negotiating competitive offers.
Ensure compliance with all applicable employment regulations throughout the recruitment process.
Support the development of your team through structured coaching, meaningful projects, and growth opportunities.
Reporting Relationships: Reports to the Senior Associate Vice President of Executive Recruiting, managing a team of approximately 3-4 associates, with potential oversight of external resources.
Typical Skills and Experiences:
Education: Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business, or related fields; Master's degree preferred.
Experience: Over ten years of recruitment experience, including executive-level recruitment, with proven leadership in a corporate environment. Experience in the insurance or financial services sector is advantageous.
Knowledge, Abilities, and Skills:
Strong understanding of management practices and human resource management areas like recruitment, performance management, and regulatory compliance. Expertise in strategic planning and building influential partnerships in corporate settings. Exceptional negotiation and conflict resolution skills coupled with strong leadership capabilities. Ability to manage diverse projects efficiently and collaborate within a matrixed organization.
