Job Description
The Welder in a food manufacturing facility is responsible for performing welding and fabrication tasks to maintain, repair, and construct equipment used in the production process. The role involves working with various metals and alloys to ensure the safety, efficiency, and compliance of machinery used in food production. The working hours are 10 AM to 6 PM, Monday through Friday.
Responsibilities
Perform welding and fabrication tasks on food production equipment, conveyors, stainless steel tanks, and other components as required.
Conduct regular inspections and maintenance on machinery to ensure all equipment remains in good working condition and prevent production downtime.
Address equipment breakdowns and damage promptly, making necessary repairs to keep production lines operational.
Follow a maintenance schedule to carry out routine preventive maintenance tasks to prevent equipment failure and ensure its longevity.
Adhere to all safety protocols, including proper welding techniques, wearing personal protective equipment (PPE), and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.
Keep accurate records of all welding and maintenance work performed, including logs of completed tasks, materials used, and any equipment inspections.
Diagnose and troubleshoot issues with equipment to identify the root cause and find effective solutions.
Work closely with other maintenance personnel, engineers, and production teams to coordinate repairs and ensure the uninterrupted operation of the facility.
Maintain an inventory of welding materials and tools, ensuring that the necessary supplies are always available.
Suggest and implement improvements to the manufacturing facility's infrastructure and processes, focusing on enhancing safety and efficiency.
Essential Skills
Strong welding experience with 4-5 years of experience.
Fabrication and preventive maintenance skills.
Ability to operate various welding equipment and tools.
Strong attention to detail and precision in welding tasks.
Physical stamina and dexterity for prolonged periods of welding work.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
High School Diploma or equivalent.
Certification in welding techniques (e.g., AWS) is preferred.
Proven experience as a welder in a manufacturing or industrial setting, preferably in food production or a similar regulated environment.
Knowledge of food safety regulations and hygiene standards is a plus.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr.

I have breakdown of full benefits but here is summary - The cost for single coverage is around $100/ month. Family Coverage is around $250 / Month. No Deductible; $2500 max out of pocket per year for singles, $5000 for families.
