Job Description
Bachelor's degree from an ASHA-accredited university, active Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) license and minimum 1+ years speech-language pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
We are seeking a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to support a K-12 educational environment in Columbus, OH. This contract position involves working closely with certified speech-language pathologists to implement therapy plans designed to improve student munication skills across various grade levels.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist speech-language pathologists in delivering individualized therapy to students with speech, language, and munication needs.
Conduct therapy sessions under supervision, tracking progress and adapting activities as directed.
Document student progress and prepare reports as required for IEP meetings and educational records.
Collaborate with teachers, parents, and school staff to support speech and language development in the classroom.
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to professional standards and school policies.
Qualifications and Experience:
pletion of an accredited Speech-Language Pathology Assistant program.
Valid SLPA certification or licensure as required by state regulations.
Prior experience working in K-12 educational settings preferred.
Effective munication and interpersonal skills to engage with students and staff.
Ability to follow detailed therapy plans and adjust methods based on student response.
