Starting with the role:

We are looking for a well-organized Process Engineer, responsible for the design, development, optimizing systems/ processes with a focus on efficient resource management, ensuring safety and environmental compliance, quality assurance and regulatory compliance. Also, will be responsible for the development of associated systems, designs, process technologies, and assist in projects formation.

During your day you will:

Review and evaluate technical input produced by Third Parties (Technical Consultants, Technology Providers, Subcontractors), analyze and validate calculations, technical specifications, mass and energy balances/ conversions for:

Solid Waste Management process (biodrying, anaerobic and aerobic digestion)

Water and Wastewater Treatment Facilities

Biogas/ biomethane production and utilization

Design Mechanical, Biological, Chemical Processes and models for Solid (Waste), Liquid (Waste, Waste Water) and Gas (Biogas, biomethane) streams i.e. Process flows, mass and energy balances, in accordance with the relevant legislation

Communicate with Third Parties (Technical Consultants, Technology Providers, Subcontractors) and with the in-house Engineering teams (Civils, Electrical, Engineering) for technical issues and relevant resolutions

Evaluates the technical part of the Contracts (Technology Providers, Technical Consultants)

Collaborate and support Construction & Operation Project Management teams to develop technical chemical solutions

Provide insights in addressing and improving existing chemical processes and mitigate risks to ensure safe operation of the facilities

Stays abreast of emerging trends, technologies, and regulations in the energy sector, incorporating relevant advancements into project designs and recommendations

Contribute to the preparation of technical reports, presentations, and proposals that effectively communicate complex concepts to diverse audiences

What you need to stand out:

Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering or other related field

Master’ s degree in Engineering (relevant fields solid waste, water management, biological treatment etc.) will be considered an asset

Minimum 5 years previous experience in a similar role in construction industry. Experience in Solid Waste, Water and Wastewater, Biological Treatment and energy/ renewables sector construction projects would be considered a plus.

Proficiency in process modeling and simulation software

Familiarity with relevant industry codes, standards, and regulations related to energy conversion and environmental impact

Very good command of the English language, written and verbal

Strong working knowledge on Microsoft Office Suite, Microsoft Project Manager, AUTOCAD

Organizational and time management skills

Critical thinking

Problem analysis, root cause analysis and problem-solving skills
