Cloverland Farms Dairy in Baltimore MD is seeking a Blow Mold Operator.
The Blow Mold Operator is responsible for performing a variety of duties to include primarily operate and troubleshoot all blow mold equipment.
Work Schedule * 2:30pm -10:00am, Monday - Friday * 10:30pm - 7:00am, off Saturday and one other day during the week * Overtime opportunities available.
Pay $24.89/hr, plus $0.50/hr differential Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Ensure proper setup of blow mold machines.
* Monitor and adjust bottle processes to optimize bottle quality and correct defects, including the completion of hourly quality checks.
* Manage bottle silo level, merge/dump gate setup and blower speeds.
* Effectively, efficiently and safely operate and troubleshoot blow mold and bottle quality verification equipment.
* Ability to correctly adjust the machine recipe to produce quality bottles.
* Access and assess machine reports, alarm log, and system monitoring pages from the operator console(s) to diagnose equipment malfunction.
* Communicate with blow mold baggers on supply and production needs, assist with bagging/debagging.
* Understand the purpose and operation of the machine oven.
* Ability to understand bottle defect and find a solution to correct the defect.
* Ability to diagnose and correct operational issues, such as broken oven lamps, incorrectly fed preforms, discharge jams and other operational performance issues.
* Ability to set-up and change-over the blow mold and all associated equipment to minimize line changeover time.
* Maintain accurate records and logs, as required.
* Meet performance targets for blow molding.
* Perform operator based preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, cleaning and reassembling.
* Clean, lubricate and adjust parts and equipment.
* Communicate with management, mechanic and equipment operators on any potential mechanical issues.
* Comply with all Company policies and procedures including safety practices.
* Adhere to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs). * Ensure that the area is maintained in a safe and orderly manner.
* Perform any other duties as assigned by management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * Ensure proper setup of blow mold machines.

* Ability to diagnose operational performance issues such as slow cycle time, reading alarms, water leaks, oil leaks or any other abnormality causing downtime to the machine.
* Ability to operate the bagging machines, adjusting the speeds on the alpine conveyor, and making material changes.
* Ability to set up and change-over the blow mold and all associated equipment to minimize line changeover time.
* Maintain accurate records and logs, as required.
* Meet performance targets for blow molding.
* Perform operator based preventive maintenance on mechanical systems to include disassembly, cleaning and reassembling.
* Clean, lubricate and adjust parts and equipment.
* Communicate with management, mechanic and equipment operators on any potential mechanical issues.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities * 1+ years' experience in Plastic Blow Molding or general manufacturing plastic products is preferred.
* Able to perform light administrative duties.
* Ability to use hand tools and small power tools.
* Must be capable of reading, understanding instructions, and have knowledge of basic math skills.
* Effective verbal and written communication skills * Able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
* Must be willing to work flexible hours including overtime, weekends, and holidays.
Physical Requirements * Must be able to lift and carry 50 lbs.
repeatedly throughout the day.
* Wet and slippery floor conditions.
* Must be able to stand and walk during the entire shift.
* Constant bending, lifting, reaching, pulling, and climbing ladders during an eight (8) or ten (10) hour shift.
* Able to distinguish color, perform intricate tasks, read small print, and see at normal distances.
* Ability to perform the essential job functions safely and successfully consistent with ADA, FMLA, and other federal, state, and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.
