The Chief Human Resource Officer (CHRO) provides strategic leadership for all human resources functions at the Parliamentary Protective Service (PPS), ensuring alignment with its operational mandate and organizational priorities.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the development and execution of a corporate HR strategy that stabilizes and advances HR practices, ensuring workforce effectiveness and alignment with PPS's strategic goals.
Foster a client-focused, high-performance HR culture that promotes productivity, inclusion, and psychological safety.
Lead collective bargaining initiatives, including strategy development and team leadership.
Provide senior-level expertise in labour relations and employment matters.
Guide the creation and implementation of governance and accountability frameworks for HR programs and service delivery.
Oversee HR information systems to ensure effective implementation and maintenance.
Advise the Director and executive team on strategic HR issues. Work environment

In order to be considered, your application must clearly explain how you meet the following (essential qualifications)
EDUCATION:
A university degree from a recognized institution in industrial relations, human resources, public or business administration, law, political science or in another related field.
EXPERIENCES:
Recent and Significant experience in providing strategic leadership and direction in the delivery of human resources programs, initiatives and services.
Recent and significant experience in providing executive advice and making recommendations to senior management on highly complex and sensitive human resources issues.
Significant experience in the execution of four (4) or more of the following human resources disciplines as a subject matter expert, manager or an executive:

Classification and Organization design
Human Resources Planning
Human Resources Systems
Learning and Development
Occupational Health, Safety & Wellness
Equity, Diversity & Inclusion

Top Secret security clearance - You must be eligible to obtain both a Site Access Clearance and an Enhanced Reliability Status or a Secret or Top-Secret clearance.
