Performance Test Engineer

Kforce has a client that is seeking a talented Performance Test Engineer in New Albany, OH.

The client is looking for an Engineer to ensure our e-commerce and retail systems deliver fast, reliable, and scalable experiences.

Responsibilities: * Design, develop, and execute performance and load testing scenarios for retail applications using k6, Playwright, and Neoload * Automate performance tests and integrate them into the CI/CD pipeline to ensure continuous quality * Analyze test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable recommendations for performance improvements * Collaborate with development and QA teams to optimize e-commerce and backend systems * Maintain and enhance performance testing frameworks to support new features and releases* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience) * Proven experience in performance testing, preferably in retail or e-commerce systems * The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with performance testing tools, scripting, and CI/CD integration, with a strong focus on optimizing web and retail applications * Extensive hands-on experience with k6, Playwright, and JavaScript * Experience with Neoload for load and performance testing * Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and integration of automated tests * Knowledge of e-commerce or retail system performance considerations (site speed, scalability, peak load handling) * Strong problem-solving and analytical skills * Excellent collaboration and communication skills * Attention to detail and a proactive approach to identifying performance issues Nice-to-Have Skills: * Experience with cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP) for performance testing * Familiarity with monitoring tools like Grafana, Prometheus, or New Relic * Knowledge of additional performance testing tools or frameworks
