Design Manager – Hyperscale Data Centre (Frankfurt)

Location: Frankfurt, Germany

Type: Full-Time, Project-Based

We are partnering with a leading international main contractor, that are seeking a Design Manager to join its delivery team on a hyperscale data centre project in Frankfurt. This pivotal role involves coordinating architectural and engineering information, managing technical submittals, and ensuring design deliverables align with the construction programme.

Key Responsibilities:

Collaborate with the site team to manage project setting out, focusing on architectural and engineering coordination

Oversee integration of utilities and services between M&E engineers and external providers

Prepare and maintain the schedule of information requirements in line with the contract programme

Track and manage technical submittals for all construction components, ensuring timely approvals and procurement alignment

Monitor submittal and procurement tracking systems, reporting progress and issues to the Project Manager

Respond promptly to design-related queries, ensuring all correspondence is properly recorded and resolved

Support BIM coordination, design reviews, and clash detection across disciplines

Requirements:

Experience as a Design Manager on large-scale construction projects (data centre or mission-critical preferred)

Previous experience with a main contractor is essential

Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills

Eligibility to work in the EU
