Essential Functions and Basic Duties:
Position Specific Performance Expectations:
Maintains facility in a sanitary and infection-free condition with thorough washing and cleaning.
Disinfection of infectious rooms.
Uses safety precautions in all areas.
Operates various mechanized cleaning equipment i.e.: shop vacuum and carpet shampooer.
Responsible for disposal of trash, biohazardous waste, and other disposable materials.
Empties soiled linen cart.
Re-stocks clean linen.
Washes windows, dusts, vacuums, and mops.
Cleans sinks, mirrors, commodes, showers, and walls within the facility.
Checks all vacant rooms daily.
Reports any needed repairs to the supervisor.
Acts as a positive and supportive team member to the Environmental Services Department.
Participates in interdepartmental process improvements and processes evaluation efforts.
Attends staff meetings.
Ability to operate computer to take on-line training, read emails, and use work order system.
Interacts in solving problems and works as a team with other departments.
Demonstrates a professional and caring manner.
Strives to ensure continual compliance with the department and Memorial Regional Health Policies and Procedures as well as State and Federal regulations.
Identifies and accesses necessary systems to report abuse of employees and/or patients.
Adheres to policies and procedures for infection control, safety, and risk management.
Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Requirements:
Must be at least 16 years of age (21 for driving positions)
Must be able to legally work in the United States.
Must be able to pass a background check.
Must be able to pass a drug screen and breath alcohol test (if applicable)
Must complete employee health meeting.
Required Education/Licensure/Certification:
High School Diploma or equivalent, preferred.
Unencumbered License/Certification (if applicable).
Experience:
Housekeeping experience, preferred.
Position Classification: Non-Exempt
Compensation Range: $ 17.77 to $ 23.17
