Description:

Monte Rosa Therapeutics is seeking a contractor (initial 6 months) with the experience to implement and run complex cellular assays. This position is a key role in the pivotal team responsible for Automation and Screening Technologies & hits-to-leads support for Monte Rosa’s diverse pipeline. The ideal candidate will be able to help evolve Monte Rosa’s hit identification and hits-to-leads endeavors through embracing novel assay technologies, enhancing overall processes and actively drive internal and external partnerships.

Responsibilities

Perform a variety of molecular and cellular biology techniques, including CRISPR knock-in, mammalian cell culture, DNA/RNA isolation, and Western blotting

Implement and help to execute cell-based assays using various technologies (e.g., fluorescence, luminescence, TR-FRET, AlphaScreen)

Utilize automated liquid handling systems and laboratory robotics

Analyze and interpret experimental data, compile results, and present findings to the team

Maintain cell lines and prepare stock solutions

Manage laboratory inventories and handle biohazardous materials according to safety protocols

Ensure compliance with laboratory safety procedures and guidelines

Qualifications

• Minimum bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Biochemistry, Cell Biology or life science with at least 1-2 years of industrial experience.• Experience in High Throughput Screenings and Cellular assays for compound profiling is essential.• Experience with mammalian cell culture and cell line generation. CRISPR experience is highly considered.• Knowledge of Genedata software package is preferred.• Proven track record for striving for high level of innovation and scientific excellence.• Flexibility to accommodate rapidly changing priorities and deadlines.• Ability to work in a team-based environment.• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
