Team Overview:

Assigned to the finance Department, you will be responsible for the oversight of the daily fund operations administered in Luxembourg. You will also be involved in all events affecting the lifecycle of the funds and the finance department by playing an active role in the development of its activities. The person will report for this function to a (Senior) Financial Controller and/or Fund Finance Manager in Luxembourg.

Role and Accountabilities:

Control and review of full set of financial information of the assigned funds (NAV, investor reporting, capital statements, capital calls & distributions) and formalize those processes in relevant procedures and internal checklists.

Contributing to all tasks relating to the lifecycle of the assigned funds by ensuring the smooth ongoing of fund operations from a financial point of view (such as acquisition, disposal, capital calls, distributions, subline drawdowns and repayments) including liaison with the depositary team and the transfer agent team and other offices/departments.

Preparation and/or review of investors and regulatory reporting (quarterly) under Luxembourg GAAP and IFRS.

Review of bookkeeping of Luxembourg companies across several LaSalle funds and separate account mandates.

Review and challenge valuation appraisals received from external appraisers.

Review of VAT and tax situation and be able to act if necessary.

Production/review of stand-alone/consolidated annual financial statements under IFRS and/or LUX GAAP.

When required, production of other bespoke financial information from time to time.

Preparing and providing information for tax advisors as required, including responding to queries.

Review of KPI materials and participation in KPI review/oversight meetings with service providers.

Management of other external service providers (accountants, liquidators, auditors, tax/legal advisors, etc.)

Liaise with external auditors and provide all supporting information, files and explanations.

Participate in ad hoc projects such as company incorporation or liquidation of entities, opening of bank accounts, fee quotes collection and benchmarking.

Support the (Senior) Financial Controller or Fund Finance Manager for any ad hoc request/project.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

3-5 years’ experience in a similar position, a fund administrator or in a Big-Four audit firm.

Strong accounting background in general.

Good knowledge of real estate fund structures.

Solid knowledge in Lux GAAP, IFRS and real estate accounting.

Understanding of the legal and regulatory regimes applicable to Luxembourg real estate funds and SPVs.

Good problem solving and analytical skills.

Strong work ethic, team player and positive 'can-do' attitude with ability to meet deadlines.

Fast learner, dynamic and autonomous with a strong sense of responsibility.

Fluent in English with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Like to work in a small environment within a large international organization.

The role involves working with teams globally.

Experience in debt funds to be considered as an advantage.
