As a Cluster Training Coordinator at GardaWorld you will play a crucial role in shaping and refining the skills of our security personnel. We are seeking an experienced and dedicated individual with a proven track record in security guard training. This position involves developing, implementing, and overseeing comprehensive training programs to ensure our security team is well-prepared and equipped to handle a variety of situations across the Prairies!

What does a Cluster Training Coordinator do?

Develop and implement a method of measuring the effectiveness of the training programs.

Create and deliver Standard Operating Procedures and Post Orders.

Conduct and facilitate training sessions, presenting information clearly and concisely to various audiences. In-person or virtual.

Ensure that laws and regulations that might affect the services are reviewed and changes are implemented as necessary.

Prepare compliance reports and identify areas for improvement associated with contract-specific policies, practices, and procedures.

Coordinate, develop, deliver, and manage vendor personnel training and development programs; conduct needs assessments; identify training needs; develop and/or customize training courses, content, and materials; oversee and deliver training; evaluate effectiveness; and adjust as necessary to improve training and outcomes.

Collaborating with other departments within the GardaWorld branch.

Qualifications to become a Cluster Training Coordinator:

Has a flexible work schedule (the candidate would need to be available to work 40 hours/week but days, evenings, weekends, and weekdays)

After hour on-call

Must be able to travel between 3 sites within Calgary and Airdrie. This position is based on client site and not GardaWorld office.

Candidates must have been in Canada for 5 years or more for a required reliability screening

Instructor certification in Verbal Judo, Management of Aggressive Behavior, Non-Violent Crisis Intervention or equivalent is considered an asset.

1 year of experience in instructing

Strong organizational skills

Ability to deliver course material in a way can be understood.

Provincial accreditation to teach Basic Security Training Program or wiling to obtain

Mental Health First Aid is an asset

Reliable vehicle and driver’s license

Clean criminal background check

Legally entitled to work in Canada
