Education Core undergraduate program in Computer Science or Information Systems or equivalent work experience. AND Experience Minimum 4 years combined work experience in any combination of the following\: assisting with development and updates to the strategic Information Technology plan, participating in work groups to author Information Technology plan by discipline/program team and/or leading activities to achieve project tasks/meet deadlines, and performing solutions design for assigned discipline/program team (e.g., software development, infrastructure, database administration, security) including 2 years technology related work experience as specified by the agency position description and vacancy/job posting. Job Duties:

Requires extensive working technical knowledge of enterprise operations

Assists in developing and updating agency strategic information technology plan and performs solutions design for discipline/programming team

Creates and edits for recommendation and approval IT artifacts to include policies, procedures, standards, guidelines, best practices and position papers designs and documents the overall system architecture to include data flows, integration points and component dependencies

Leads complex initiatives for organizational improvement frameworks in software development

Provides architecture white papers and designs documents for new or significant updates to application project initiatives and leads application architecture review for those initiatives

Performs technical design reviews

Ensure designs align with agreed-upon enterprise architecture guidelines and industry best practices facilitate acceptable trade-offs

Ensure designs consider security, component redundancy, service continuity, disaster recovery, data integrity, monitoring and other DevOps run needs

Develops architecture for solutions at product level in line with architectural principles, applying industry best practices and design patterns to create scalable, secure solutions with superior technical performance

Works closely with data stewards, data owners, security team, network team, Application Development team and other stakeholders to promote data governance best practices

Stays updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices related to solution architecture, data management, and observability

Provides critical analysis to ITS Leadership regarding forward looking risks and opportunities

Provides technical leadership and mentorship to development teams, ensuring adherence to architectural guidelines and standards

Maps out technical integration points and patterns between systems

Identifies and builds Proof-of-concepts required for future directions

Maps out technical integration points and patterns between systems

Develop architecture that will provide sustainable and scalable growth
