Lead Data Engineer

We are looking for a Lead Data Engineer to work for our client. The ideal candidate aligns with the responsibilities and qualifications outlined below.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and architectures to support business analytics and data science initiatives.

Lead the implementation of data engineering best practices, including data modeling, ETL development, and data quality assurance.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and deliver robust data solutions.

Optimize data systems for performance, reliability, and scalability.

Mentor junior data engineers and contribute to team development and technical leadership.

Ensure data security and compliance with relevant regulations and standards. Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in data engineering or software development.

Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or Scala.

Strong experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and big data technologies (e.g., Spark, Hadoop).

Expertise in SQL and relational/non-relational databases.

Familiarity with data warehousing solutions and tools like Snowflake, Redshift, or BigQuery.

Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work independently and collaboratively.
