The Role

Do you have the skills to inspire adults in their digital learning journey? Can you design and deliver engaging ICT sessions that build confidence and employability?

At Westway Trust, we are seeking a Digital Skills Tutor to join our Adult and Community Learning Team. This is a part-time, term-time role based across the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, offering £30.18 per hour (inclusive of holiday pay).

You will deliver high-quality, learner-focused ICT and digital skills training to adult learners at Entry Level to Level 1. Working in community venues, you will design and teach courses that develop essential digital skills, workplace ICT abilities, and user skills that help learners progress in education and employment.

Key Responsibilities:

Plan, prepare and deliver engaging teaching sessions, workshops and tutorials

Assess learners, create individual learning plans, and provide constructive feedback

Track and record progress, ensuring objectives are met

Support learners with differing abilities and needs, promoting inclusivity

Prepare learners for accredited and non-accredited assessments

Maintain accurate attendance and assessment records in line with Trust requirements

Collaborate with colleagues, contribute to curriculum development and attend training

Personal Skills:

You will need:

A recognised teaching or training qualification (e.g. PTLLS, CTLLS, DTLLS or equivalent experience)

Experience of teaching adult learners in ICT/digital skills

Knowledge of course planning, assessment, and supporting mixed ability groups

Strong communication skills and a collaborative approach

A commitment to inclusivity, safeguarding and equality

Flexibility to work across community venues within RBKC

Desirable

Understanding of the RARPA (Recognising and Recording Progress and Achievement in non-accredited learning) system

Experience of working/teaching refugees and or asylum seekers

Basic understanding of cybersecurity principles and practices to impart essential knowledge to students

The ability to speak a community language
