Sports Doctor
Sports Doctor Job Responsibilities
Conduct patient consultations by reviewing health and medical histories; questioning, observing and examining patients; and reviewing x-rays, as indicated.
Evaluate patients neuromusculoskeletal systems and the spine using chiropractic diagnosis to determine neuromusculoskeletal and spine related conditions.
Understand and know all Sports Orthopedic tests
Perform manual adjustments to the spine, or other articulations of the body, to correct the musculoskeletal system.
Know your Anatomy like the back of your hand.
Obtain and record patients medical histories.
Arrange for diagnostic x-rays/MRI's to be taken.
Analyze digital imaging (MRI and Radiographs) to locate the sources of patients difficulties and rule out fractures or diseases as sources of problems.
Maintain accurate case histories of patients.
Educate patients on Movement and sports rehab
Provide a patient with educational resources and a recommended course of treatment.
Acupuncture
Soft tissue CE is a PLUS
Education & Experience Requirements
Doctorate of Chiropractic/Doctorate of Physical Therapy
MUST have two or more years of experience in Sports Rehab
Dry Needling (strongly preferred)
Graduate of an accredited chiropractic program/Physical therapy program (DC/DPT)
Current license as a chiropractor/physical therapist in the state of practice
Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
Malpractice Insurance
Background in Strength and Conditioning (strongly preferred)
Background in soft tissue management techniques (strongly preferred)
