The role

Within the Business Line Satellite Communication, and specifically in the Teleport Services Delivery Unit, we are looking for a motivated and experienced Project Manager to join our team in Rome.

The selected candidate will oversee programs related to satellite teleport services, including hosting/housing, terrestrial connectivity, uplink/downlink of satellite gateways, terrestrial links, turnkey solutions, and support services. The role requires close interaction with international customers and coordination with highly skilled technical teams

The selected candidate will be responsible for the following activities:

Serve as the main point of contact for international clients, ensuring effective communication and relationship management.

Collaborate with technical teams to deliver high-quality teleport services.

Manage structured contracts, supporting proposal preparation and negotiations, while ensuring execution in line with contractual requirements, budgets, and costs.

Assess and manage service change requests, evaluating both financial and organizational impacts.

Guarantee timely and high-quality delivery of programs in accordance with customer requirements.

Requirements:

Degree and Seniority

Degree in telecommunication engineering or other engineering studies

Minimum of 4 years’ experience in Project Management within Space or Telecommunications programs.

Technical skill

Proven experience in project management, preferably in the satellite telecommunications sector.

Proficiency with project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Smartsheet), budgeting, and cost control.

Solid knowledge of scheduling and time management techniques (e.g., Gantt charts, Work Breakdown Structure, roadmaps).

Risk management expertise.

Data analysis and reporting skills (e.g., Earned Value Management).

Experience with documentation and compliance processes.

Soft Skill

Teamwork and collaboration.

Problem-solving capabilities.

Time management.

Good knowledge of the English language is required.

Availability for business trips, if necessary
