Shift: 20 hours/week - Consecutive days
Rate: $20/hour

We are recruiting a part-time Associate Laboratory Technologist (Intern) to join our team!
Associate Laboratory Technologist (Intern) Responsibilities:
Routinely certify bead tube nuclease-free and, on occasion, microbial DNA-free.
Maintaining microbial cultures, including bacteria and yeast, for application development.
Perform DNA, RNA, and protein extractions from biological samples.
Decontamination of demo units returning from the field.
Receive and inventory lab chemicals and supplies.
Responsible for laboratory cleanliness.
Associate Laboratory Technologist (Intern) Requirements:
Either Senior level biology students from 4-year universities or Bachelor of Science Degree.
General lab experience from course specific labs, internships, or undergraduate research.
Must display competency with basic laboratory equipment like pipettes.
Must be able to calculate concentrations and dilution schemes to reach required concentrations.
Knowledge of general laboratory techniques including pipetting, staining, and buffer creation.
Excellent communication skills.
Associate Laboratory Technologist (Intern) Requirements:
Experience with Microsoft PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.
Self motivated with excellent communication skills.
Adheres to safety, confidentiality, compliance and legal requirements.
Computer proficiency and strong familiarity with Microsoft Office.
Detail-oriented with exceptional organizational skills.
Positive attitude with an ability to work well independently as well as part of a team.Associate Laboratory Technologist (Intern) Physical Expectations:
Laboratory Environment.
May be required to stand for long periods of time.
Performing duties and able to work safely with chemicals and hazardous materials.
Regularly required to use hands to finger, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, and talk or hear.
Specific vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust and focus.
Lifting and/or moving of up to 40 lbs.
