This is an AT-WILL position for which the attainment of non-probationary status (tenure) is not available.

The Talent Search Director will be responsible for the supervision and management and implementation of the Educational Talent Search grant and for directing the functions thereof which encompass events including the selection of participants, maintenance of participant records, management of various ETS required and optional services, execution of academic and student enrichment activities, and evaluation of project performance.
The director will have full authority for project administration, which includes hiring staff, authorizing expenditures, ensuring effective ETS budget management, refining project goals, and evaluating project activities and annual performance.
The director will serve as an advocate for disadvantaged students, assist participants with proactive academic and career strategies and set goals for success, provide academic and career advising and support, and address personal and non-cognitive barriers.
Salary: Appropriate placement on Bevill State Community Colleges Local Salary Schedule: C3, Rank: 03 $57,618 - $81,081.
Work Hours: Monday through Thursday, 7:30 a.m.
- 5:30 p.m., Friday 7:30 a.m.
- 11:30 a.m.

* Select eligible ETS participants * Coordinate the delivery of Talent Search required services with the Talent Search Advisor to * ensure participant success.
* Maintain an approachable and accessible relationship with participants.
* Maintain security and confidentiality of participant and project files.
* Evaluate staff, project, and participant performance and submit performance reports.
* Authorize project expenditures and ensure budget management in accordance with EDGAR.
Talent Search regulations, BSCC, and Alabama Community College System policies.
* Hire and supervise qualified staff to maximize time and effort * Maintain a beneficial relationship and open communication with target schools * Work with tutors and mentors to ensure student success * Implement and execute the Competitive Preference Priorities strategies.

MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE * A minimum of a master's degree in education, counseling, or a related field from an accredited institution is required.
* A minimum of five (5) years related work experience is required.
* Experience working with diverse, high-need, or disadvantaged student populations as well as administrative or supervisory and budgeting experience is required.
* Experience working with TRiO programs or with similar grant-funded academic programs is preferred.
* Experience in counseling or teaching secondary school students is preferred.
* Preference will be given to applicants who have a background similar to those in the target population preferred.
