Nan Fung Life Sciences/Pivotal Life Sciences is looking for a motivated candidate to join its Public Equity investing team under the Group CEO's Office. The candidate will play a crucial role analyzing scientific data and market trends/research to support insightful investment decisions.

Responsibilities

Conduct in-depth fundamental research on biotech companies listed in U.S. and HK, including analysis of pipelines, clinical trial data, competitive dynamics, intellectual property, and regulatory strategy

Build and maintain detailed financial models

Generate differentiated investment insights and present recommendations to portfolio manager

Monitor portfolio positions, track key catalysts, and update investment theses accordingly

Develop and maintain relationships with company management teams, KOLs, clinicians, and industry experts

Requirements

Advanced scientific background (PhD, MD, or MSc in a life sciences discipline preferred), with strong ability to distill and interpret scientific literature and clinical data

5–10+ years of relevant experience in biotech investment banking, consulting, equity research, investment management, or clinical development/strategy/BD roles within the biopharma industry

Strong financial and analytical skills; ability to build and maintain detailed valuation and scenario models

Demonstrated interest in investing and ability to generate independent investment ideas

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Professional proficiency in mandarin highly preferred

Ability to multi-task, a strong attention to detail, and ability to work well in a collaborate environment

Candidate with less experience may be considered for the position of Senior Associate
