Job Description

Job Title: Lead Sterile Processing Tech

License: Valid State License required

Certifications: BLS, Preferred CSPDT, IAHCSMM/HSPA

Must-Have:

- Previous Charge Experience required

- Charting System Experience preferred

Description:

Staff are expected to start either 0600, 0700, 0800, or 0900 with the possibility of rotating shifts.

Employees in this classification usually perform activities of a creative or complex nature.

Access to Protected Health Information (PHI) will be necessary to complete job duties.

This role is excluded from Work From Home options.

Patient care will be provided based on the age-related needs of pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients.

Consideration will be given to the development and psychosocial needs of patients.

The technician will access only the minimum amount of information necessary for patient care.

Staffing and scheduling details have specific requirements.

Technicians and specialists will support interdisciplinary teams as needed.

A background policy is in place, and any relevant information must be disclosed prior to submission.

Modules may be required and can vary by specialty; time spent on modules beyond the allotted time will be subject to billing.
