Summary
Perform administrative tasks under the direction of multiple physicians to keep the office running smoothly. Administrative duties may include, but are not limited to, answering phone calls, greeting patients, handling correspondence, scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, transcribing patient visits, calling patients with biopsy results, maintaining pathology log, maintaining MIPS logs related to the diagnosis of Melanoma and the Melanoma Recall System, sending certified letter
Job Responsibilities
Must be able to multitask effectively, due to the constant interaction with patients and handling several responsibilities at once.
Attention to detail and independent thinking skills
Speaks with patients professionally to fully explain treatments and procedures to patients as well as provide educational material when needed
Able to respond to phone messages using the correct system and directs them to the appropriate individual
Send prescriptions upon provider request
Update/review melanoma log
Update/review pathology results log daily
Properly process Prior Authorizations
Full understanding of iPledge program
Knows how to create and send outbound referrals
Knows how to create and send certified letters
Able to run MIPS reports, identifying items completed and overriding when applicable
Hours: M-F 8AM-4:30PM
