Requirements:
Duties and Responsibilities:
Read blueprints and check part dimensions with appropriate measuring instruments
Make adjustments on tool offsets
Understand company procedures for tagging, inspecting and other necessary procedures relevant to the position
Follow lean manufacturing systems in place
Qualification Requirements:
1-3 years’ experience in machining in corresponding department
Perform in-process inspection on machined parts
Work with supervisor and quality department to ensure parts are made to customer specifications
Ensure all tools and gages used are properly calibrated and up to date
Observe all safety practices and procedures, performing preventative maintenance
Follow strict safety procedures in maintaining a neat and orderly workstation
Must be able to be flexible and work overtime when necessary
Environment & Physical Demands
Regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and communicate effectively (talk/hear).
May involve prolonged periods of both sitting and standing depending on task requirements.
Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus; prolonged magnified inspection may be required, which can lead to eye strain.
Requires good hand-eye coordination and dexterity in hands, arms, and fingers, including the ability to grasp and manipulate small components.
Frequent use of computers and other standard office or manufacturing equipment.
May involve handling of oils, solvents, and cleaning solutions—lab coats provided to minimize exposure.
Typically performed in a clean environment; employees are expected to help maintain cleanliness standards.
Safety glasses are required at all times; additional safety training may be required depending on the area.
The work is performed in a manufacturing setting where noise levels are generally loud.
May rotate between different workstations or shift tasks during the production process based on operational needs.
