About The Position

We are seeking a Cardiovascular & Thoracic Surgery Nurse Practitioner for a 120-day locum tenens role in Ohio. This assignment, starting on Sep 15, 2025, includes responsibilities such as rounding, first assist, and vein harvesting with a rotating call schedule. The NP will be working day shifts from 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday to Friday, with additional on-call duties as scheduled. This opportunity requires recent experience in using Maquet Hemopro 2 and proficiency with the Epic EMR system.

Schedule: Day shifts, 7 AM to 5 PM, Monday-Friday with rotating call

Responsibilities and Duties

Perform first assist duties in cardiovascular and thoracic surgeries

Conduct vein harvesting procedures

Engage in daily rounds as part of the cardiovascular care team

Participate in a rotating call schedule, providing care as needed

Utilize the Epic EMR system for documenting and managing patient care

Additional Information

Must be NCCPA Certified

Required certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)

Must hold a valid Ohio Nurse Practitioner license
