Role Description This is a full-time role for a Directional Drill Operator, located on-site in Columbus, OH.

The Directional Drill Operator will be responsible for operating directional drilling equipment to install underground utilities.

Daily tasks include preparing and maintaining drilling equipment, executing drilling operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

The operator will also be expected to troubleshoot and resolve any issues that arise during drilling operations while maintaining communication with team members and supervisors.

Qualifications Experience in operating directional drilling equipment and machinery including trenchers, backhoes, and boring machinesKnowledge of underground utility installation practices and standardsProficiency in reading blueprints and interpreting job specificationsStrong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot and resolve on-site issuesAbility to work independently and as part of a team with strong communication skillsPhysical stamina and ability to work in various weather conditionsValid driver's license and reliable transportationCertifications in utility installation or related fields are a plus
