Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead and oversee all technical operations related to our teleport site. This strategic role includes the management of the technical office, the energy team, the radio frequency team, and the facility management team.
This is not a traditional facility manager role. The successful candidate will be responsible for a broad scope of infrastructure and operational domains, including:
Oversight of the teleport and RF antenna park (+220 E/S)
Management of buildings, data center areas, technical rooms (around 20), and shared spaces
Supervision of security, safety, maintenance, and overall site upkeep
Institutional coordination with internal and external stakeholders
Leadership of infrastructure improvement projects (energy systems, UPS, 5 generators, and high-voltage equipment)
Technical interface across RF, energy, data center, and facility teams to ensure operational continuity
Management of buildings and facilities at Rambouillet teleport
Monitoring and supervision of suppliers and service providers, including contract follow-up
Preparation of the annual facility budget and reporting on project delays and/or critical issues to ensure accurate budget tracking and forecasting
Ensuring a safe working environment for staff and visitors within the teleport
Ensuring safety and compliance during repairs, maintenance, and renovation of buildings and infrastructure
Identifying, reporting, and correcting safety hazards in a timely manner
Implementation and adherence to company policies and objectives
Leadership and management of on-site teams, including coordination, performance, and operational responsibilities
This role requires strong coordination skills, a comprehensive technical vision, and the ability to work cross-functionally with engineering, safety, and executive teams.
What You’ll Need:
Master’s degree in engineering (electrical, mechanical, computer, or equivalent) or equivalent work experience
Strong knowledge of RF antenna systems, high-frequency equipment, and teleport infrastructure
Knowledge of energy systems, including UPS, generators, and power distribution
Knowledge of data center operations, technical rooms, and facility management best practices
Proven experience in budget management, forecasting, and financial tracking for infrastructure projects
Knowledge of safety and security regulations, including workplace safety practices and risk assessment
Strong organizational, leadership, and team management skills
Ability to coordinate with suppliers, service providers, and institutional stakeholders
Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, in English (French is an asset)
Experience in environmental and quality standards (ISO 14001, ISO 9001, ISO 27001 is a plus)
Problem-solving mindset with the ability to manage complex technical and operational challenges
