Respiratory Therapist – Skilled Nursing Facility Setting

Shift: Day Shift, 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM

Overview

Elevate Respiratory Therapy Group is seeking a dedicated and passionate Respiratory Therapist to join our growing team in a rewarding skilled nursing facility setting. In this day shift (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) role, you’ll make a real difference by providing high-quality, compassionate care to patients in need of respiratory support.

Key Responsibilities

Assess and evaluate patients with respiratory disorders; develop individualized treatment plans

Administer prescribed respiratory therapy treatments and medications

Perform airway management techniques and support patients with complex needs

Perform chest physiotherapy (manual and mechanical techniques)

Utilize Positive Expiratory Pressure (PEP) devices to promote airway clearance

Deliver a variety of breathing treatments as part of individualized care plans

Monitor and interpret vital signs, blood gases, and other diagnostic tests

Document patient assessments, interventions, and progress in a timely and accurate manner

Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and interdisciplinary care teams to ensure holistic care

Educate patients and their families on respiratory health, treatments, and at-home care techniques

Qualifications

Valid Respiratory Therapist license in the State of Illinois

Strong understanding of respiratory therapy principles, anatomy, and pathophysiology

Proficiency with respiratory therapy equipment and airway management procedures

Excellent communication skills and the ability to work both independently and in a team environment
