Aerotek is hiring Contract Traveling Production Supervisors for a company located in Grenada, MS. This is a contract position (around 9 months). Must be able to start immediately.
Pay: $40-$43/hr
Per Diem: $150/day if 60+ miles from facility.
Shifts:
1st shift (Monday-Thursday 5 a.m.-3 p.m.; Friday 5 a.m.-1 p.m.; Saturday if needed 5 a.m.-1 p.m.)
2nd shift (Monday-Thursday 3 p.m.-1 a.m.; Friday 1 p.m.-9 p.m.; Saturday if needed 1 p.m.-6 p.m.)
Job Description
We are seeking experienced Production Supervisors for 9 month + contract to assist with an upcoming ramp-up in production. This role involves travel and offers the opportunity for contract extension beyond the initial 9 months. Ideal candidates will have experience in sheet metal shops, manufacturing metal shops, electrical wiring, or HVAC manufacturing and will be responsible for supervising approximately 50 hourly workers.
Responsibilities
Supervise, train, and support a team of production employees, fostering a culture of safety, quality, and accountability.
Monitor and manage daily production schedules to meet output targets, deadlines, and customer requirements.
Collaborate with the site leadership team and oversee production team members' performance and plant output.
Ensure proper staffing levels and coordinate workloads for optimal efficiency.
Perform administrative tasks including managing time/attendance, disciplinary actions, promotions, and labor reporting.
Implement and sustain lean manufacturing principles, identify process improvements, and contribute to increased efficiency and quality.
Identify and troubleshoot production bottlenecks, working with engineering and maintenance teams to resolve issues.
Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve throughput, efficiency, and cost-effectiveness.
Maintain strict adherence to quality standards and safety regulations.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment, preferably in HVAC, refrigeration, or related industries.
Strong motivation to lead, take ownership, and make an impact on production operations.
Analytical thinking with a drive to identify and implement process improvements.
Familiarity with chiller systems, refrigeration components, and manufacturing processes.
Strong team management, coaching, and problem-solving skills.
Experience with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, or other process improvement methodologies.
Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills.

Work Environment
Work in a large, non-temperature-controlled plant environment. Employees are expected to stand, walk for long periods, lift up to 50 lbs (non-repetitive), and stoop.
