Operations Manager – Manufacturing Facility
We are seeking a proven operations leader to oversee the day-to-day activities of our primary manufacturing site. This role is responsible for driving production efficiency, maintaining high standards of quality, and ensuring compliance with workplace safety regulations. The manager will also play a key role in long-term planning, including capital projects and continuous improvement initiatives, while fostering a culture of innovation and accountability across the organization.
What You’ll Do
Champion Workplace Safety – Maintain a safe environment by upholding all safety requirements and leading proactive initiatives to reduce risks.
Run Daily Operations – Direct all aspects of plant operations, ensuring production schedules are met while keeping a close eye on key performance indicators.
Lead Change Efforts – Guide teams through process updates and system improvements, ensuring smooth adoption with clear communication and training.
Drive Innovation – Partner with cross-functional teams to explore and implement new technologies, tools, and methods that streamline operations and improve productivity.
Apply an Engineering Approach – Utilize data-driven analysis and structured problem-solving to optimize manufacturing processes and establish effective controls.
Maintain Quality Standards – Ensure all products meet or exceed established specifications and customer expectations.
Manage Resources – Oversee allocation of people, equipment, and materials to balance efficiency with cost-effectiveness.
Develop and Mentor Teams – Provide direction, training, and support to employees, fostering growth and continuous improvement.
Control Costs – Monitor budgets closely, finding opportunities to reduce expenses without impacting quality or delivery.
Performance Reporting – Deliver regular updates on plant performance, highlighting progress, challenges, and improvement strategies.
Plan for the Future – Prepare annual operating plans, budget recommendations, and capital investment proposals to advance company goals.
What We’re Looking For
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Manufacturing, Operations Management, or a related discipline (advanced degrees or Lean/Six Sigma training preferred).
At least 10 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing setting, ideally with plant management responsibilities.
Strong leadership presence, with proven ability to inspire, guide, and develop diverse teams.
Deep knowledge of production processes, quality management, and industrial safety practices.
Comfortable using manufacturing systems, data tools, and metrics to make informed decisions.
Professional certifications in manufacturing or plant management are a plus.Company Description
