Accountabilities
Define train architecture and transversal performances (weight, gauge, ergonomics)
Draft and manage the technical specification of provision, ensuring alignment with internal and external stakeholders.
Develop and maintain layout designs for vehicle seating areas in compliance with standards and project needs.
Monitor project KPIs and evaluate design constraints related to Sub-System Breakdown Structure (SBS) activities and deliverables.
Lead structural engineering activities, including codesign and welded parts of carbody components.
Define the mechanical interfaces of the carbody shell structure, and related sub-systems.
Perform requirements management using standard tools such as DOORS.
Required Skills/ Knowledge
Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
Experience of at least 3 year in projects in the railway industry.
In-depth knowledge of relevant standards and regulations for rail vehicle design.
Proficiency with CAD tools, such as Autodesk and CREO 11.
Experience with requirements management tools (DOORS preferred).
Basic knowledge of electrics and mechanics is required.
Knowledge of the main office automation software/tools (Word, Excel, etc.)
Knowledge of mechanical design software (Autocad, Creo, Catia, etc.) and the IBM DOORS requirements management tool.
Knowledge of Engineering Processes and Railway Operations.
Ability to work effectively with all levels of the organisation, with the attitude to contribute with constructive and practical ideas.
Readiness to work effectively in a collaborative, fast-paced, multitasking international environment.
Ability to work autonomously in teams and for projects is required.
Availability for short-term national and international business trip

Ability to manage and plan the assigned tasks independently and team-working.
Ability to analyze business requirements, problem-solving attitude and business process analysis.
Ability to face with the different internal functions (internal customer) and external (suppliers, customers, partners).

Versatile in learning and strong desire to remain up-to-date with changes in technology and best industry practices.
Strong business acumen & technical skills.
Good communication and interpersonal skills.
Attitude to work in an international and multi-cultural reality.
Education/Qualifications
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent technical background
Languages
Good knowledge of written and spoken English is mandatory.
English language knowledge on at least international B2 level
