IMU RN - 12H Night Shift Position

Location

This is a 13-week contract position.

Schedule

12-hour night shifts are available, with assignments concluding on Saturdays. Candidates must be able to work 2 of the 3 winter holidays.

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced IMU Registered Nurse (RN) to provide care for a diverse patient population that includes med-surg, tele, cardiac IMCU acuity level, neuro, and CVA patients. This position requires adaptability and the ability to work collaboratively in a teaching hospital environment, interacting with students and new hires.

Responsibilities

Provide nursing care for patients in the IMU unit.

Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes promptly.

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.

Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Participate in patient education and support.

Required Experience / Certifications / Licensure

Minimum 2 years of experience in a relevant specialty.

BLS and ACLS certifications required.

Charge experience preferred.

Cerner experience preferred.

Active Virginia or Compact License required at the time of submission.

All requests for time off (RTO) must be submitted at the time of application.

Proven travel experience is required for this position.
