Placement Student - Technical Sourcing

We are looking for an enthusiastic Technical Sourcing Placement Student to join our team specializing in Purchasing for our Corporate/CBS Business Segment in UK, Darlington. During your placement with us, you will learn how a major global organization operates, gaining the tools and exposure you will need to become an expert in the industry and **power your potential!**

This role is available to candidates who qualify for a placement year and will commence **Summer of 2026.**

**RESPONSIBILITIES**

In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:

+ Ensure our suppliers continue to provide the best quality and value

+ Liaising with a range of suppliers across the globe.

+ Invite new suppliers to bid and review the bid process.

+ Identifies, tracks, and works with others to resolve project issues.

+ Process engineering releases to take the appropriate purchasing actions.

+ Support Cummins in ensuring we stay competitive.

**QUALIFICATIONS**

To be successful in this role you will need the following:

+ Working towards a degree in preferably Engineering/Business related although not limited to these subjects.

+ IT Skills. Customer-facing & customer support experience would be a plus.

+ Communication skills, Positive attitude, strong personal motivation

+ Team player, able to plan and prioritize work to meet commitments aligned with project’s needs.
