Job Summary

As an augustwenty engineering consultant, you'll work as part of an agile, self-managed team to deliver first-class software solutions that help our clients thrive. You're self-motivated, collaborative and able to operate effectively at every stage of the software development process. Technologies you'll dig into include; cloud-based infrastructure, automotive, IoT, mobile and web application development, embedded, electrical engineering, industrial applications, digital interfacing, 3D modeling/visualization, and micro-service architecture.

Not proficient in any of those? No problem - as long as someone's technology foundations are sound and they have a desire to learn, we can teach the rest!

A20 is based in Columbus, and while we enjoy a hybrid working environment this is NOT a remote role. All consultants are expected to attend all major internal events in-person, and to go on-site with clients on an as-needed basis.

Responsibilities

Client Delivery:

Develop, build, and deliver world-class software with versatility across client, server and database tiers

Work closely with the business to move from ideas and concepts to requirements, prototypes (when appropriate) and working software

Execute production deployments of systems, services or applications on cloud infrastructures

augustwenty:

Mentor and support colleagues; share knowledge and experiences within the team

Demonstrate strong interest in technology, self-guided learning approach and awareness of industry trends

Assist with growth efforts: interviewing, business development, and knowledge-sharing where appropriate

Skills & Experience

We'd love to talk with candidates who have some of the following:

3+ years of progressive software development experience

Demonstrate the learning agility to understand the root cause of a problem, Learning Agility: able to identify the proper tools for the solution, and quickly learn how to use that tool if necessary

Experience with high level programming languages, including but not limited to C++, Java, Python, C#, Ruby, Scala, and Swift

Structured and methodical approach to building and testing applications

Demonstrable understanding of modern application architectures and frameworks

Excellent communication and collaboration skills

1+ years of consulting experience a plus
