Maintenance Facilitator
The Maintenance Facilitator is responsible for scheduling the work activities of the team. Prepares efficient and effective work plans for all Preventive, Predictive, Condition-Based, and Projects. Maintains SAP Backlog with Planners and Operations. Works closely with the team to ensure parts are available and ready; ensures internal and external labor resources are available; and coordinates execution of the plan in conjunction with the production schedule through working with the Production in a timely manner.
The Maintenance Facilitator supports the plant by providing expert guidance and maintains open flow of communication up and down the maintenance chain. He or she identifies and escalates problems proactively. The Maintenance Facilitator will track results, pushing for execution of improvement projects, initiate focused projects based on maintenance trends, and participating in process improvement initiatives. He or she will serve as a project coordinator for assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
Maintenance planning and facilitating the activities of electrical, mechanical and external labor.
Partners with other departments to optimize shared resources.
Conduct weekly pre-shift safety meeting.
Ensure safety rules are followed.
Investigate all related accidents/incidents.
Complete area and lock-out audits.
Ensure daily safety focus in all activities.
Be engaged in Food Safety, Quality Management and Environmental Safety.
Ensure Preventive Maintenance Plans are in place as needed.
Participate in Root Cause Failure Analysis and quality assurance for all repairs.
Reporting maintenance performance and data.
Coordinate with site leaders and personnel to identify and manage critical requirements.
Manages team (compliance, vacation, discipline and time management).
Develop maintenance procedures, training and ensure implementation.
Carry out inspections of the facilities to identify, resolve and prevent issues.
Check electrical, mechanical and hydraulic systems of buildings/assets to ensure functionality.
Plan and oversee all repair and installation activities.
Maintenance budget - helps forecast annual budgetary needs and maintain area budget
Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary.
Monitor expenses and control the budget for maintenance.
Manage relationships with contractors and service providers.
Keep maintenance logs and report on daily activities.
Follows quality management system requirements for relevant activities.
Performs other related duties as required and assigned.
Requirements:
Mechanical or Electrical Associates Degree or 10 years industrial experience
5+ Years supervisory experience (Preferred)
SAP Experience (Preferred)
Strong knowledge of engineering concepts, including electrical, fluid power and mechanical systems
Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Effective time management skills
Ability to lead a team
Solid understanding of technical aspects (bearings, rotating equipment, electrical systems, etc.)
Knowledge of facilities machines and equipment
Strong customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
