The Co-After School Program Coordinator will work closely with their counterpart to ensure the overall success and continued growth of our program. They will be responsible for staff effectiveness, delivering engaging and enriching activities, and maintaining strong community partnerships. Their work will directly support our mission to provide a high-quality after-school experience for every student.
This position is under the supervision of the Teaching and Learning Department which will serve as the Director of the After School Program.
This is a part-time position. You will be assigned to work two out of four days per week (up to 8 hours per week) with duties and responsibilities shared with the other Co-Coordinator. Key Responsibilities
Program Leadership: You will share in the overall supervision of daily program operations, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for students. This includes managing student behavior and implementing a consistent disciplinary process.
Staff Management: You will be responsible for daily staffing and supervision of employees. You will also collaborate with the other Co-Coordinator and the Director of Teaching and Learning on the hiring process.
Curriculum Development: You will plan, prepare, document and coordinate academic and enrichment activities that align with our program goals.
Administrative Oversight: You will help manage program policies and procedures.
Community Engagement: You will work with families, school, and community partners to build strong relationships and support to enrich the program. You will also serve as the point of contact for questions, concerns, or feedback.
Data Collection: You will be responsible for collecting daily program data and tracking progress toward program goals. You will provide this information to the Director of Teaching and Learning for required reporting.
Collaboration: You will work with our external evaluator and assist with Advisory Group meetings.
Events: You will assist with organizing and leading key events like Family Nights, monthly field trips and activities. Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree in education or a related field.
Proven administrative or leadership experience.
Experience with innovative program development.
Prior experience working with school-aged children in an educational or recreational setting strongly preferred.
A valid teaching license is preferred.
Pay
$28/hr
