What you’ll be doing
Lead and support coaching to enable the roll-out of Sustainable Operational Excellence within ICS across the Regional sites
Align with and embrace the training approach delivered at Barrow: “See One, Do One, Teach One"
Deploy Sustainable Operational Excellence one step at a time and coach leaders to create their own system
Facilitate coaching discussions focused on key behaviours and guiding principles
Project energy and belief in our approach and role-model a ‘can-do’ positive attitude
Embrace technology and flexibility to support remote and hybrid team coaching
Your skills and experiences
Essential:
Experience in coaching or mentoring, or a clear aspiration to grow into a coaching role
Skilled in presenting confidently and effectively to sizeable groups
Familiarity of concepts such as DSUMs (Daily Stand-Up Meetings), Process Configuration and Standard Diaries
Must be able to travel to Barrow for 3-phase training: three scheduled blocks of 12 weeks to be fulfilled
Desirable:
Foundational understanding of Operational Excellence or Project Management Principles and processes
Demonstrable leadership experience

The ICS Operational Excellence team
Step into a pivotal moment with the Integrated Combat Systems Operational Excellence Team. We're building a dynamic new group dedicated to transforming performance across our southern sites through a strategic mentoring initiative. As part of this rollout, you'll lead and support coaching efforts from apprentices to senior leaders, embedding excellence at every level. This is more than a role, it’s a development journey, upon completion of our “See one, Do one, Teach one” training, you’ll be recognised as a BAE Systems Sustainable Operational Excellence Coach, equipped to lead and embed best practices across the business.
