SEMI-SKILLED OPERATIVE

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Semi-Skilled Operative to join our well-established client based in Royton, Oldham. This is a fanatstic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Shifts: Monday to Thursday: 6.00pm - 6.00am

Pay rate: £14.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

As a Semi-skilled Labourer, your duties will be, but not limited to:

Heavy lifting involved

Fitting ironmongery to the doors, working from job cards on a tablet

Fitting instruments in frames

Swinging doors in the frames to the correct certified standards

Glazing doors using pin guns

To work with another employee at the front end on the press along with other roles

Operating a door press machine such as setting up the machine

Inspecting door components for defects and ensuring they meet quality standards and specifications

Using hand tools to finish off the products such as installing hinges, handles, letter boxes

Following all safety protocols and procedures, and ensuring the safe operation of machinery

Maintaining accurate records of production runs and any issues encountered

Communicating with supervisors and other team members to ensure smooth production flow

Essential Skills

Skills needed to be a Semi-skilled Labourer with our client are:

Good time keeping / attendance.

IC literate and good with technology as you will be using a tablet / spreadsheets.

Experience in using pin guns

Good work ethics and wiliness to learn

Ability to work alone and part of a team.

Basic level of English

Reliable & Punctual

Communication Skills

Reasonably physically fit as heavy lifting involved

Desirable Experience

It will be desirable if you have worked in any of the following roles:

Bench Hand Joiner

Door Press Machine Operative

Manufacturing Operative

Training

Industry related training and ongoing support throughout
