Machine Maintenance Technician

Our client is seeking a Machine Maintenance Technician to join their team. Location: Fort Madison, Iowa Hours: 2nd shift Pay: 29$ hourly

Job Duties

Dismantles, repairs, assembles, installs, and sets up technical equipment and machines used in a production site.

Plans and executes assigned maintenance projects independently.

Analyzes technical problems on site and completes mechanical and/or electrical repairs and work orders.

Executes ramp-up, setup, and start procedures to prepare machines and equipment for operations.

Contributes to installation projects on site and supports accountable Industrial Engineers.

Supports maintenance of technical documentation for processes and equipment.

May provide technical advice to junior staff.

May maintain various types of equipment.

Production Responsibilities

Operates a defined number of specialized machines and equipment.

May include prescribed CNC programming (e.g., setting parameters) to set up machines for production.

Assembly Responsibilities

Requires theoretical knowledge and procedural understanding to operate in qualified assembly processes.

Uses a variety of tools and machines during the assembly process.

Assembly work is generally repetitive and routine.

Qualifications

Completion of a 2-year vocational training program.

Up to 1 year of relevant experience.

Basic knowledge and experience of principles, procedures, work routines, and skills in the related field, gained through structured vocational training.
