WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING:
Ensuring customer satisfaction by:
Executing robust design and development of exterior automotive lighting products from initial concept to production.
Ensuring Regulatory requirements are met through feasibility studies
Performing DFMEA/DRBFM/FTA design reviews.
Identifying, investigating, and resolving design issues
Investigating and developing new technologies that can be applied to product design.
Creating 2D/3D component/assembly drawings and BOMs.
Confirming design through mock-up and tooling trials
Ensuring design compliance with ISO 9001/14001 & IATF 16949 requirements.

HOW YOU WILL QUALIFY:
4 yr degree, B.S. in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent degree/experience
3 – 5 years’ CAD experience CATIA V5 or V6 is a must
Familiar with FMVSS 108 and other global lighting regulations
Understanding of electrical circuits and LED operation
Experience with automotive design
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred Experience:
2 – 5 years’ experience with plastic injection molding
Experience with ANSYS SPEOS, LUCIDSHAPE CAA V5 and Moldex3D
