Description
Purpose:
The Training and Development Manager is responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating training programs that support employee growth, onboarding, and organizational effectiveness. This role oversees training budgets, identifies skill gaps, develops instructional materials, coordinates technical and soft skills training, and ensures all programs meet internal goals and government compliance standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and manage the training budget while evaluating the effectiveness of onboarding and ongoing training programs.
Assess organizational and departmental training needs to design, update, and implement effective training solutions.
Plan and deliver staff development programs using diverse methods such as classroom instruction, workshops, and on-the-job training.
Conduct new hire orientations and coordinate technical and professional development opportunities.
Train instructors and supervisors in effective training techniques and employee engagement strategies.
Create training materials, develop evaluation procedures, and ensure compliance with government standards and program guidelines.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
High School Graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Bachelor's Degree (four-year college or technical school): Preferred
2 plus years of experience in Management
5 plus years of experience in Manufacturing or Fabrication
Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite and knowledge of ERP system implementations
