Weekly Gross: $2,538/week (based on 36 hrs)

Taxable (W2): $648/week ($18/hr)

Stipend (Non-Taxable): $1,890/week ($52.50/hr)

Total Hourly: $70.50/hr

Holiday Pay: 1.3x

Job Details

Profession: Registered Nurse (RN)

Specialty: Oncology – Chemo Certified (BMT/Stem Cell Unit)

Unit: Bone Marrow Transplant (14 East, 15 West)

Start Date: 11/03/2025

Duration: 13 weeks (through 1/17 preferred for holiday coverage)

Shifts: 3x12s – Days (07:00–19:30) or Nights (19:00–07:30)

Schedule: No block scheduling, must be flexible (may include every weekend)

Float: Yes – to Med-Surg Oncology

Requirements

Experience: 2 years RN total + minimum 1 year Hematology/Oncology (MS Oncology required)

Certifications (Required):

BLS (Basic Life Support)

ONS/ONCC Chemo Certification

Certifications (Preferred): ACLS

Charting: Epic required

Licensure: Active RN license (OH or Compact)

Education: From ACEN or CCNE accredited program

Skills & Clinical

Chemo administration & post-chemo body fluid handling

Blood product administration

Central/PICC line care and draws

IV Therapy, port access, infusions

Telemetry monitoring & rhythm interpretation

Sepsis recognition

Rapid Response Team use

BMT/Stem Cell care (GVHD, graft rejection, CAR-T, stem cell therapies)

Beds: 36 Daily Census: ~33

Support Services: PT, RT, Radiology, Social Services, Pharmacy, RRT, Unit Secretary

Special Equipment: GE telemetry (B450), Alaris pumps, Bladder Scanner, Stryker beds

️ Compliance & Notes

Compliance Deadline: Strict – Tuesday prior to start (no exceptions)

Fingerprinting: Required immediately upon booking (urgent process)

RTO Policy: Max 7 days, 1 major holiday off, no RTO in first 2 weeks

References: 2 required (1 manager/director; charge RN ok for 2nd)

Locals: Accepted at same rate

Former OSU staff: Must be gone 6 months

Current OSU employees: Not eligible as travelers
