Electronic Engineer (IS Tests) - expat possible

· Plans and modifies the processes of static and dynamic diagnostics of cars in the production process from concept and prototype to the start of serial production – in close cooperation with Engineering Department.

· Optimizes, standardizes, and develops test processes for electronic components and the development of the MBOS system to improve efficiency indicators (safety, quality, productivity, costs, environment, etc.). Develops and implements diagnostics using IS testers (standard test equipment), creates standards for tester management.

· Supervises the progress of projects, analyzes problems occurring during the implementation of static and dynamic diagnostic process projects. Initiates actions, plans resources, and carries out improvement activities.

· Actively participates in project and process audits in accordance with the requirements in force at the Plant. Prepares the required documentation, organizes meetings, prepares summaries, conclusions, and supervises their implementation.

· Promotes the development and self-improvement of the organization. Participates in working groups aimed at increasing the efficiency of the Company. Leads and supports optimization projects. Promotes an active approach among employees of the Van Engineering Department and cooperating departments.

· Regularly reports on ongoing work and projects. Prepares syntheses, summaries with cause analysis, and proposals for corrective and optimization actions.

· Cooperates with the Health and Safety Department to eliminate identified safety problems and carry out corrective actions and raise awareness and safety levels in the Plant.

· Constantly monitors development and innovation opportunities within their area of operation.

· Regularly informs the supervisor about the status of ongoing tasks and anticipated threats. Proposes and implements corrective and preventive actions.

· In the event of challenges and problems that exceed their authority, immediately reports the difficulties to a higher-level supervisor along with proposed solutions. Reacts in the same way to identified irregularities.

· Participates in the creation of Processes in force in the Company, conducts their audit, and ensures compliance.

· Ensures engagement and maintains a good atmosphere in the team and department.

· Trains production employees and other Engineers. Supports the Production and Quality Department in solving problems and improving processes related to vehicle diagnostic systems.

· Collaborates in the chain of product development and diagnostic processes from prototype to serial production. Cooperates with other Departments involved in the process.

· Higher education, preferred engineering major or similar.

· Experience in Mercedes Electrical Architecture highly welcome.

· Languages: English and wherever applicable German

· Programming language knowledge highly preferred.

· Able to anticipate needs and deliver timely, relevant solutions and actions.

· Experience in dimensional accuracy desired.

· Use of value stream mapping to identify opportunities for waste reduction is a plus.

· Ability to think and act analytically and strategically, with a focus on achieving results and meeting targets.

· Ability to work as part of a team and engage in interdisciplinary collaboration in addition to excellent problem-solving skills.

· Ability to think and act like an entrepreneur as well as openness to change processes.
