What you will do…
Manages, plans, coordinates & monitors implementation of statewide white-tailed deer management & research program
Formulates annual deer harvest regulation recommendations & disease surveillance/prevention strategies
Prepares and delivers public presentations on deer ecology and management to both technical & non-technical audiences
Serves as liaison and represents the Division on various local, state, and Midwest committees and working groups
Supervises assigned staff (e.g., interviews, provides hiring recommendations, trains, counsels, evaluates, approves leave requests, disciplines employees)
Starting hourly pay of $35.68/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 6.5 years of service, with an end salary of $50.75/hr.
Completion of graduate core program in wildlife management, wildlife biology or zoology or other related field of study AND 12 mos. exp. in supervising wildlife research or management activities.
