About the role:
We are looking for dedicated and motivated entry-level Field Service Technicians who thrive in dynamic environments and enjoy the variety that comes with traveling to different locations. As a key member of our team, this role is “the face” of Guardian Data LLC and works across multiple departments to service our clients. This role gives you the opportunity to learn a number of different skills, while making a direct impact on delivering outstanding service to our clients. This role offers the exciting opportunity to travel regionally to various client locations and job sites, with occasional overnight stays. All travel expenses are fully covered by the company, and we emphasize maintaining a healthy work-life balance to ensure your personal time is respected and valued
Our ideal candidate has the following skills and qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Tech savvy with experience with laptops, desktops, and iPads/tablets
Solid attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure
Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
Must have a valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Excellent problem-solving skills
Excellent troubleshooting skills
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Proven team player, with a positive and adaptable attitude
Ability to travel approximately up to 50% of the time, with overnight stays
Ability to lift 70 pounds regularly
Excellent MS Office skills, including MS Teams
What the job involves:
Working directly at customer sites on various projects
White-glove packing of IT assets
Auditing and scanning of project paperwork
Assisting CDL drivers with truck maintenance and any other tasks assigned to you
Communicating directly with the Team Lead on the project’s progress or challenges faced
Receiving training on hard drive erasures, data center decommissioning, shred and logistics projects
Adhering to safety regulations and industry-specific regulations
Driving to and from customer locations to retrieve and drop off shipments
