What you will do-
Purchase materials, components, and/or equipment at the lowest cost consistent with quality and urgency of need to support planned production. Coordinate the activities with manufacturing unit to maintain inventory at planned levels. Maintain system data to support MRP such as safety stock levels, MOQ, ROP, etc. Job consists of 80% tactical responsibilities and 20% strategic projects.
Additional Responsibilities:
Support production to provide excellent customer service
Manage purchase orders
Supplier management and negotiation
Expediting and managing MRP messages
Determine part disposition
Control document revisions
Inventory control/reduction initiatives
New product introduction support
Assist implementation of new programs and process
Participant on supplier audits and supplier visits
What you need-
Bachelor’s degree required with an emphasis in Supply Chain Management highly preferred
Experience in purchasing/buying or other areas of supply chain preferred
APICS or Project Management certifications preferred
Advanced Excel skills and PowerBI experience a plus
Travel Percentage: 10%
