HGV Class 1 Driver - Trunking and Multi-Drop

People Solutions are currently recruiting for Class 1 Drivers to join our well-established client based in Warrington, Cheshire. This is a fantastic opportunity offering great rates of pay and room to grow and progress.

Shifts:

AM start between 04:00-06:00

PM start between 18:00-20:00

Pay rate:

£17.00 PER HOUR - DAYS

£18.00 PER HOUR - NIGHTS

Days £17.00 per hour

Nights £18.00 per hour

Day to Day Duties

Your duties as a Class 1 Driver will involve but not be limited to:

Trunking work, depot to depot, odd store deliveries

Operate and drive various Category CE vehicles in a safe and efficient manner to and from delivery locations

Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections

Ensure all goods are loaded and secured properly

Adhere to traffic laws and regulations

Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers

Report any vehicle defects or maintenance needs to management

Assist with loaded and unloading of goods as needed

Essential Skills

As a Class 1 Driver you will need to:

Hold a valid UK Category CE Licence

Have a minimum of SIX months experience driving CE vehicles

No more than six penalty points for minor infringements and no major endorsement codes

Have a valid UK CPC Card and UK Digi Card

Must be able to speak and read a good level of English

Punctuality and excellent time keeping skills

Have a good understanding of traffic laws and regulations

Effective communication skills

Desirable Experience

Experience driving any commercial vehicles would be beneficial

Training

Driver's Assessment will have to be completed

After successful Assessment, there will be a one day paid induction
