Purpose of the Role
At Tracewell, quality isnt just a checkpointits a commitment. As a Quality Assurance Technician, youll be a key player in upholding our standards of excellence across every stage of production. From incoming materials to final product inspection, your work ensures our solutions are future-ready and built to perform.
What Youll Do
Precision Inspection & Verification
Use advanced measurement tools to inspect mechanical and electrical components, wiring layouts, subassemblies, and finishes. Ensure every detail aligns with engineering drawings and specifications.
Process & Compliance Auditing
Follow inspection protocols and engineering documentation to verify that all assembly and testing steps meet internal and customer requirements.
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate quality records, perform sampling and inspections, and prepare documentation for product shipment.
Problem Solving & Continuous Improvement
Support investigations into quality issues, identify root causes, and recommend corrective actions. Collaborate across teams to drive resolution and improvement.
Calibration & First Article Inspection
Coordinate or perform equipment calibration and assist with first article inspections to validate new builds.
Team Collaboration
Work closely with engineering, production, and leadership to ensure quality is embedded in every step of our process.
What You Bring
High School Diploma
15 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or manufacturing
Familiarity with ISO 9001, AS9100, or TS16949 standards
Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, schematics, and specifications
Experience with IPC 610, J-STD-001, and IPC-620 (preferred)
Strong understanding of mechanical dimensioning and tolerancing (ANSI Y14.5)
Proficiency in basic math and Microsoft Word/Excel
Detail-oriented mindset and strong organizational skills
Comfortable lifting up to 40 lbs and working in lab, office, and manufacturing environments
Hands-on experience with calipers, micrometers, and other measurement tools
Basic computer skills (file creation, saving, printing)
